Hot No Start!!
Hi guys,
I have a 2006 f350 4x4 auto with the 6.0L. It has 50K miles. I drove the truck this morning to the store and parked it. When I came back out it wouldnt start, it cranks strong but no fire. I let the truck sit for about an hour, then i tried to start again. After about 5 min of cranking she fired. All the way home the truck ran perfect.
It sat in my driveway again for an hour or so. I went out to start it and same thing. I had to wait an hour for it to start. I checked all fuses and everything is ok. Batteries are new.
The truck was just in for the same problem about 2 months ago and the dealer replaced the hpop and the ICM. So I'm thinking that can't be the problem again.
Any Ideas on what the problem might be? Could a dirty fuel filter cause this?

Its most likely the STC fitting on the HPOP. There has been some significant discussion on the subject and I recently experienced it for myself. Do a search on here and you will find all the pertinent information you need.
