I just got done with the transgo AOD-HP kit. Browsing pics and write ups it seems there is supposed to be something that sits in the "vee" of the separator plate. Also, there is a machined bore in the front of the case that looks suspiciously empty. Im not a trans expert, in fact, this is the first time ive had the pan off an auto in probably 10+ years, and then it was only to change a filter. Its a 91 AOD from a lincoln town car im told (again). It does have the 'A' OD servo
Also, since im here, the slip yoke from my C4 should fit the AOD fine? Feels a little rough in a spot or two, but its tight (in a good way). Wasnt sure if there is a difference.
Thanks a ton James, was getting kinda worried. Mine did never have anything there when i pulled the pan. The kit came with a stiffer TV return spring, so i imagine i should be good to go. Ill finish buttoning up the pan and get her stuffed under the car. Thanks again.
