Most of Tom Mix films were filmed here in Newhall. That famous shot of him jumping that large span was Beale's Cut, three miles south of me in the Newhall Pass. There is an ongoing debate as to whether Mix made the jump or a stunt double.

I used to live on Magic Mountain Parkway. Now I'm down the hill off the 210 freeway.
Looks pretty nice. Can you leave the safe unlocked while driving and just lock it when you leave the vehicle? I'm not someone who's paranoid and on a hair trigger but I'm torn between the idea of keeping the weapon as secure as possible to avoid liability or theft but at the same time wanting the weapon to be "ready." Some folks mount a pistol under the dash but throw it in a safe when they leave the vehicle.

Yes, you can. That's one reason why I went with the electronic lock. You can close the safe and move the lever half way and the lock will engage, but you will still be able to open it without re-entering the code. With the dial or key type locks either it's open or closed and locked. Just don't forget to engage the lock when you leave the truck, as I've done on numerous occasions.
Thats exactly where I put mine.
I have a magnet on the console, and one on the dash under the trailer brake. Very easy to get to. Only minor drawback is that the back of the weapon is visible to the passenger.
I don't leave mine in the truck, though. So I haven't really looked for a vault.
I have a sig 26 Legion in 9mm for all of my vehicles and use the Winchester LEO Ranger T 127 +p+. Also have a nylon mag holder with 2 magazines for each vehicle do not want to lose one of my good ones lol. Carry guns at the ranch usually one of these (most of the time the 454) or the 10mm in the top pic.
Them's some mighty fine lookin' shootin' irons you have there Mr Busa 1 Dave. I'll bet those shortys just about jump out of your hand when you pop a cap. Not ot mention the ball of fire and muzzle blast. Look damn nice though.

First thanks and yes the 454 is a beast but the brake works pretty well all things considered. I shoot full power 10mm's have a few of those as well and they let you know they are going off! Carry the big boys because besides occasional 2 legged varmints we have feral hogs.
