Seatbelt/armrest interference

I don't know what kind of seat you may have or eventually install, but a few photos back, you had belts installed the same as mine. This happened before I even realized there was interference between arm rest and seat. Take care

Cheap material or?

I don't know. I certainly didn't think so. It was $750.00 to cover the seat, 5 -7years ago and he has a very good reputation. I think the issue is that as you bring the belt across your chest, the strap gets caught cross wise between the arm rest and that bead on the seat. It wears in one small area.. One doesn't notice the slight catch. The damage was done before I even realized what was happening. Same on the other side. Seeing as how it's a kinda daily driver, work truck. What is one to do. When I saw your pictures with belts hooked up very similar---thought I'd mention the issue. If you're not going to be using a bench seat. Probably not going to be an issue Just bad engineering on my part.

Piping on a seat is always the first thing to wear, when getting your seats upholstered eliminate it and go when a double stitch instead..

Piping on the seat

Ah, now you tell me. I was upset at first and then just shrugged it off. Not much I could do about it. First seat I'd ever had upholstered. I just try and be careful putting on seat belts. Live n learn. Thanks for info.

you made a running board bracket? hows it line up? we got a place here in so-cal, C&G ford parts, that if i call an order in by 3:00 in the afternoon, it's on the porch same time time the next day. it's made me very lazy. (kidding) great job on the bracket.

it lines up very good, i took all measurements.
Unfortunately we are not in California here, there´s no place to order stuff like that, so i built it yes.
A friend of mine burned the sides, the rest is just a bit cutting and welding ;-) i like jobs like that.

Oh yes there is interest . I for one am guilty of letting life get in the way and of not documenting work that I do find time to do . Your work is impressive and very motivating helping many with ideas and possibly a little push .
