I have read through the folders and many websites on 4x4 problems. I havent came up with anything that would help. My problem has to deal with my four wheel drive not wanting to engage. It has nothing to do with the front end or solenoids. When I put it into 4x4, hi or low it will not send any power to my transfer case motor. It wont even illuminate any lights on the selector switch. I have checked all fuses and replaced any relays that have to do with the 4x4. Any one have any idea where I should go with this? Thanks for any help.
Try tapping the tc motor with a rubber mallet. I read on another forum how this worked for several other people, one guy actually used his shoe to tap the tc motor.
I have tried tapping on it but with no luck. The last time it did work it got stuck in 4low and wouldn't come out. I eventually took the motor off and turned it with a pair of pliers. I was harder than hell to turn. Should it be this hard?
take the motor off and set on the floor.. check voltage to plug... check movement of the motor shaft. .. try jumper 12 v to the motor and see if it runs.
