That bracket looks better than what I usually come up with. I don't weld/have a welder (I need to learn!), so I have to bolt everything together; McMaster-Carr likes me. I buy scrap from a semi-local place, and usually use 10-32 to hold things together, then some spray can paint, and Voila!
What do you use for an oven to cure the powder coat?
They are a great source for small fasteners, clips, electrical parts etc. I have gotten a number of things from them through clipsandfasteners.com and currently am looking there and another source northlandfasteners.com
I'm trying to keep things re Big Blue together on this thread, so will report here on the search for a bracket for the coolant recovery reservoir. Bill supplied several numbers for me, so I followed up on them:
Green Sales: $10 + shipping.
Klimesh: The gentleman said "We show to have one, but I don't get up there very often and can't give you a price until I see if we actually have it. Will do in the next few days and call you back."
RPN = no answer. May have been lunch time.
White: Out to lunch.
At maybe $15 total I think I'd like one, so may go with the Klimesh guy if his price comes in right.
Update: Realized today that I'm missing the two j-bolts that hold the battery down as well as the bracket that goes on the radiator support to locate the hold down. Hadn't heard from Klimesh, so called them to see if he'd found the reservoir bracket. He had, and when I asked how much he said $30. I told him I'd found it for $10 at Green Sales and he thanked me for the callback.
Then I called Green Sales and got the coolant bracket, the battery bracket, and the two j-bolts for $31.82 plus shipping.
Edit: I didn't try the other places because it isn't likely they would have had the other parts I needed, and since shipping will be an appreciable portion of the total cost it is best to find everything in one place to minimize shipping costs. And since Green Sales seems to have a good selection, they were my first choice for a multi-part order.
Another update and then it is time to mow. Got the fuel pressure regulator relocated temporarily - until I redo the whole fuel system and put in the return-style regulator. It had to be moved to allow for the aux battery tray.
And, for the record no holes were drilled in the new auxiliary battery tray.
And, I relocated the 2nd ignition module, which also had to move to make room, in this case for the coolant recovery module.
That is genius Gary! I am going going to steal that idea It is so much nicer than cluttering up the inner fender, or even worse, having your spare module floating around under the seat somewhere...
Dave - From the factory they were bolted to exactly that spot with a plastic cover over them. Apparently Ford wasn't worried. And the top module was bolted in a similar position but just a bit forward and seems to be doing fine. So, the two together should be slightly cooler as there's twice the surface area with the same heat.

I have never seen them covered and why I said what I did.
Nor had I seen them covered. But Bill's son Matt Vose/Archion gave me one of the covers and showed how it was used, and later I saw it in a publication. Perhaps there was a TSB that said pull them and throw them away?
