Remote Start guide for a newbie.
I'm looking to install a remote start system in my 2001 V10 Ex. Has anyone done this before and has a pictorial guide as to the best system to use and way to fit it?
I know nothing about PATS etc.

list of parts needed:
Alarm w/ remote start (Compustar, Viper, Clifford, Python, Autostart etc,.)
PATS bypass module (DEI 555p or an equivalent module)
I used 3 relays with my installation but that will depend on the alarm you choose.
You can get wiring diagrams online like this one 2000-2001 Ford Excursion Vehicle Wiring Chart and Diagram
This is the closest I found to a "guide" Auto Start Alarm Install - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum
That should be enough to get you across the finish line
