Smashing steering stabilizers

Not sure what I'm hitting, I don't do extreme off roading, but I keep physically damaging my steering stabilizer. Is there any kind of high mount steering stabilizer kit?

Post some pics, I want to see what kind of damage you're doing and how you have it mounted...

There is not really a high mount kit that I have seen. A good off-road shop can relocate it for you though. I bashed mine once on a hidden rock. Seen plenty of em bashed on chebby trucks, but they ride low from the factory.

Doesn't look like the website from FTE link works though.

It's just the factory mount. Nothing special about the damage just a severely dented body on the stabilizer. I dunno what the chevies look like but mine is easily the lowest spot on the whole vehicle and somewhat vulnerable.

Maybe I'll just hack the whole giant lower stabilizer mount off and weld a new one further up on the axle tube. I'd like to do one up on the drag link like the 08 one but there isn't really room.

That was my first thought, just buy quarter inch thick 2" pipe, cut it in half lengthwise, weld tabs on it to go through the bolt holes for the stabilizer, voila. But then I realized I'm still gonna be hitting **** with it, only it will bend or break off the mounting locations for the stabilizer instead of just denting a $40 part.

I replaced it with a rancho one which appears to have thicker walls and a larger diameter rod, so maybe it will be tougher. Long term, I'd like to make a new high mount for one, but that will go on the end of a long list of current projects. Maybe when winter is over I'll swap the 33's for 35's. That should help with ground clearance.
