Anyone know about Remote Starters?

So My Remote Start (code alarm) stopped working recently... the problem is PATS related (will not start and flashed "theft" when turning over..

I've Tried reprograming the Pats like programing a 3rd key but it did not help
remote start works if leave a key in the ignition.

The remote start could be from when the truck was new 2003

Thanks

Look under your dash for the remote start key for the Pats.
( some aftermarket remote start systems use an actual ignition key )

If you reprogrammed your keys you will need to find the remote start key and reprogram it at the same time as your other keys.

If your remote starter works with the key sitting in the ignition, then the bypass module is not working for some reason (vehicle not getting a fake key signal, or not getting the correct key signal)

Could be one of several problems. Take it to a shop that installs Code Alarm. Should be a quick fix for any decent installer.

Just my $0.02. Good luck! I had lots of remote starter problems (not related to key bypass) and its such a pain!

yes It has a 1L3Z-19G365-AB module in it that does not seem to be working.

I've tried to reprogram it as a 3rd key but its still not working.... Has anyone seen these just die? Maybe I need to replace it?
Thanks

Part is no longer available from Ford but there are a lot of dealers that show still have some in stock. If you let me know where you are I can give you some dealers that show to have it.

Sorry, I can't access Canadian dealers. For all I know the part may still be available north of the border. Two different parts distribution systems.
