iphone app
Has anyone installed the remote start for their truck that works off a iphone app? If so can it be installed if you already have factory remote start on your truck. 2014 crew Lariat

There are two add on's that you need ontop of the factory remote start to have the app work.
You will need both the RMU and the VSS within the links below:

These modules install in about 20 minutes and do not require any cutting or splicing. If you currently have a remote start all you would need to do after installing these is have the system activated by a dealer.
The RMU service fee is 50.00 per a year and can be used on multiple devices.

Any Ford dealer should be able to get you the parts, but I'd shop around online for some deals.

I haven't read them, but did any of them play into the fact that you need cell reception to make this work? Something to keep in mind...likely won't work in rural areas with no coverage. Unless they've changed the operation.
