It would take some getting used to, but I like it! The bar looks a little too much like a Silverado, but it probably will look different on other trim levels besides Platinum.
I really hope thought that ford makes the new diesel capable. I mean I get it will have limits however is 17-1800lb payload and 10k towing to much to ask!!
I suppose it all depends on how much the diesel engine weighs. That in comparison to the heaviest gaser.
IMHO...the new design will have to grow on me. I like the '15-'17 MY better at this point.
So here's my thoughts. When pictures of the Atlas concept first appeared the actual design varied quite a bit for production. After the auto show next week how certain can we be that what we see then will be what's offered for the 2018 model year. I was definitely planning to purchase by mid year but now I'm perplexed of what to do. Any thoughts?

I guess we will have to wait until the auto show to speculate but they could just do a front fascia updated to mimick the SD's like the FTE picture shows. I think the rest of the body still looks plenty fresh and could stay the same since the SD's just caught up to it.
What if all these spy shots of the Diesel motor and all really are just a cover for the new 4.8 v8 motor? Would be a good one I'd say
Wasn't the 4.8 already officially announced? Sounds like a lot of work to conceal an engine that was already announced. Several photographers literally heard the Diesel engine when they drove past or alongside the mule.
Well if the parts are the same as the super duty, it should help keep costs down...Not likely we'll see any savings. My boss bought a 2017 F350 just last Thursday, and it looks better in person than in pictures.
Those parts aren't remotely the same as what's on the Super Duty. It's as I predicted months ago. The new F-150 would be made to resemble the styling of the current Super Duty. Ford has done this song and dance between the F-150 and the Super Duty since 2004 or so.

Agreed.

Yes it does. I think certain trim levels look decent enough in pictures but all new Super Duties look far better in person than in pictures.

This is a fair point but I'd argue that the current Chevrolet trucks are better looking than they have been for the last several generations.

I still don't know how GM can get away with the round peg in a square hole look. Just looks goofy and I can't take them seriously. Judging by the concept picture, they are predicting either full electric or plug in hybrid. My guess is the latter.
Good video. Great to see formal acknowledgement of the diesel and excited to hear about the 2.7 getting a boost (no pun intended). Plus the 10-speed tranny being adopted across the entire lineup, minus the base engine. I love the new front end clip.
Is it me, or does Gordon in the video need to be given a toilet plunger and told to go clean something. The size of the bars in my grill don't equate to capability. What a poorly disguised "small pee pee" joke. And I can't think of one good reason to use the word "harmony" in describing anything on a truck. Or any vehicle of any kind from any OEM.
