Front differential / axle vent location?

Looking to change out my front differential cover tomorrow, cover is pitted, rusted, corroded, and leaking at the seals. While under there I want to inspect the vent for the axle and differential (and replace if it's clogged - which I believe is leading to the seal leaking). Can anyone give some advice as to the vent tube location on the front axle? Thought I read somewhere it was on the cover itself, turns out that's a negative.

Thanks!

normally there is a drilled and tapped hole near the top on the center case, not the cover. Usually some type of banjo fitting or could be a threaded nipple with hose fitting and then a rubber hose up to the frame with a clip.... sometimes they poke INSIDE the frame to keep the end away from dirt and water.

I've been looking for 3 days. I have a certified mechanic that tells me the same thing it's on the front tip for you too I cooked that lot of hoes attaining there not plugging anything running as far as I could everywhere. There is no freaking vethat you are on that ****ing then. So where the hell does that freaking breather line go? So I challenge anybody that says they have one. Send a picture and prove it.

It's kinda more on the RH "tube". If the hose has come off it just looks like a nub, not so easy to see as it kinda sits in a counterbore

can we add a check valve to these to prevent water intrusion from pressured car washes?
or extend it?

Just get the GM rattle cap breathers and extend it. They're not a check valve but offer a degree of passive sealing. Try part #25892279

You don't want a true check valve because it needs to breathe in BOTH directions-- think about your lungs as you inhale AND exhale.
