Crank no start.
what I’ve checked are these.
1 fuses, all good
2 just listened for fuel pump operation, all good but I haven’t checked fuel pressure
3 put a scanner on it ,key on truck not running, and pulled these codes.
P1000
P1288
P1397
P1000-FF
Basically sounds as though it’s a PCM problem?
How does that just break? I figured I would have some sort of warning like rough running, poor shifting etc. I did a visual of the engine and everything seems to be in order.
i did notice when I was cranking it I was getting an electronic tic coming from either the fuse box or somewhere on the right side .
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The major item that causes a lack of fuel is the fpdm module on the rear axle . You must inspect it for corrosion as it is aluminum backing sitting on steel and they eat each other . Then water gets inside module . New ones come with plastic spacers to stop metal contact .. They have a high fail rate .
You can turn key on with scanner attached and it will tell fuel pressure on rail . Torque pro $5 app on an old android with a cheap amazon bluetooth reader will tell you lots of stuff .
If you search fpdm on this site tons of pics and info will pop up . As well as a sticky at the top of page .
You need fuel, air, and spark.
Is the engine deprived of air or fuel?
There are a lot of troubleshooting tutorials....... you just have to look for them.
