This was a used motor with 50,000 miles on it and sat for 16 years, the seals were hard as nails..I have an oil leak at the front of the motor that's making a real mess everywhere that I need to find
Much the same as my 80 Mercury 302, it's sat for 8-10 yrs, I hope it doesn't start leaking any time soon. I had it running only for a short time last summer.
This was blowing blue smoke at start ups so I knew the seals were bad, this is the first time I ever changed them on anything. Didn't realize how easy it was..I'm thinking the leak might be from the distributor . The O-ring might not be thick enough so I'll remove it tomorrow and check that out..
