In 2013 I signed up for an advanced saving and investment night school course through the Momentum community development program. It's a program that matches what you save 3 to 1 if you successfully complete the program, in this case the client saves $450 over 6 months and gets $1,350 plus $100 for completion in grant money. It was an easy program to go through and I got the full funding, I also got a 2 stint teaching position when I applied for the program.
When I went in to sign up for the course I ran into a former customer that worked for Momentum and she thought that I was applying for the Financial Literacy teaching position that was being advertised. I had met Lynn when I was subcontracted through University Landscape Services and she was under the impression that I was one of the University level employees and not one of the mindless idiots that were working for the same company that I was. Naturally I applied for the job as it was a contract position that was for 3 hours a week for 26 weeks at $37.50 an hour. I don't think many other people applied for it as Lynn really pushed for me to apply for it. Turns out that she thought that I had a degree of some sort as the crew that I was working for kept making cracks my way about how smart they were that they didn't have degrees. When the Administrator of the course programs asked me about my educational level I just cracked that I had gone to U of H K. She looks at me and asks excitedly "oh, do you speak Chinese ", I told her that in China people speak mostly Mandarin followed by Cantonese and that Chinese is not a language but a nationality of people. She stood there in stunned silence but Lynn caught on that they had fooled themselves.
I wound up teaching a simpleton level Financial Literacy course once a week for a year and took a grade 1 level investment and savings course once every 2 weeks for 6 months. It was the easiest money that I ever made and I'm thinking about signing up for another course for next season as that will reactivate my qualifications for their home ownership investment program. Besides, it's easy money for someone like me.

My dream is to have it as my main summe driver John. The first ever vehicle I drove was my dad`s 53 F350 that I drove it all over for yrs as it was the only vehicle we had on the farm till I got my first car.
Why don't you drive the M-100 you have already? I'd be driving it just about every day in the summer if it were mine especially in your area. I know if I lived in Dryden I'd be in my pickup everyday until the snow flies..
Without modern upgrades that 53 is mostly a nice museum piece, while it's been reasonably well maintained it's only a short trip Sunday driver in my eyes. If the flattie ever died I certainly wouldn't want to spend the mega bucks needed to rebuild it. For at least now I like to keep it as stock as it is, I may change my mind and do a disc brake change over, get a 9'' rear end and swap to a 302/C4 some day.
