Yrs ago I picked up a very well done wooden truck model, it looked so good that it had to be done from a kit.
Hello Steve.

That 50 F-1 I made is double the size of a plastic model kit I have. I put a lot of detail into it..

That would be a good starter kit and one of the easier ones to fly being a high wing. You should put it together Perry, would be rather rewarding..

I've been wanting to put some WWII planes downstairs in the cave and this might be a good way to do it.

This is balsa skinned John.
My eyesight changes according to my blood oxygen levels so if I'm sitting it gets worse and if I'm walking it gets better Steve.

My brother in law build one for the guy he worked for because he didn't have the patience and neither did my brother in law and he wanted me to take it on but I was about 13 years old then and didn't feel comfortable assembling it with all that was involved. It was a pretty big kit and it was about 3 feet long and had a wing span of about 4 1/2 feet. The covering on it was some sort of shrink wrap you used a hair dryer on..then you could paint it what ever color you wanted and add decals
