Yeah, we're all a bit spacial around here
It's -16 today, to bad the wind makes it -31, opened the window to let the cats out and they had their minds changed fast
20 minutes of sweeping the cm of snow from the walkways is my time limit for being outside. Warm up the ears, have a coffee and it's a Nofrills sale and mail run and that's it for my outside excursions. Think I'll stay inside and be a weather wimp for the rest of the day. lol
My thermal long johns make me real brave until my ears tell me to dummy up and go inside, if I don't listen to them my fingers laugh at me while I try to unlock the door. Body language? Lol
Seen a kid on the bus about a week ago and he was only wearing a sweater, either someone stole his parka or he was trying to maintain his tough guy cool image, pretty stupid either way as it was -20. Time to maintain my tough guy image and put on my vest and insulated leather coat and get some cat food so that the cats don't beat me up the next time they're hungry, may need a can of coffee ina week also.
Once in a while I see someone that I think is way under dressed for the weather, it`s good for a chuckle.
I watch to buy coffee only when it`s on sale, the price varies a lot.
With the Nofrills down the street I never pay more than $7 for a 930 gram can, sometimes it drops to $6. Cat food was .50c a can for friskies, brought home 4 bags of groceries for $26 which is pretty much standard fare. Glad I have 3 grocery stores within 5 blocks and a tool store with a RONA a block further, 2 parts stores within the same range. Spoiled aren't I. LOL
What brand of coffee was that Perry? I like Folgers.
I very seldom go to Rona but it is an interesting store, Canadian Tire and Princess Auto are my first choices.
Folgers has been the sale for the last 2 weeks, next one will be maxwell house, I like the reuseable cans with lid that I get when they're empty
RONA is good for some lumber and wood screws, when I do my prescription run I'll go to either Home Depot or Canada tire as they're across the street from the mall. If I don't need anything there its a Walmart trip for the variety of catfood flavors.
I do quite a bit of online from major retailers as the online sales usually have free shipping if the order is over 35 - $40 and at worst I may need to go down the street to pick it up. Get to pick up end of line deals or special order deals that way, just have to be patient with the sales cycle and keep your shopping list a want list and not a need list.
Too flipping cold for rain Gerry, any rain here would turn to hail.
Folgers is usually on sale somewhere, even Canadian Tire once in a while, very seldom for Maxwell house. I the tin cans that coffee used to come in, the plastic ones aren`t bad but not near as handy.
I get most of my lumber from Coop as well wood screws or Home Depot.
I`m not happy with Walmart as they keep raising the price of their economic brand of dry cat food which I think is pure junk. It`s only a few dollars less than a fairly decent brand name one.
