I was just thinking the same thing...that's not Seattle...or not F...
Looks like 19 degrees (F) here in Kirkland tonight...tomorrow's drive is going to be ccccoooooollllddddd
Just be careful of the dingbats with summer slicks on for tires.
One thing I don't miss about working up north on the house. But I would
deal with it if I could go back to work doing the things I have been trained for.
Froze my fingers off in 28F today doing headlight conversions. Check the new thread I started for those details. Then I drove home with no heat because I haven't solved my stupid heater core issue yet, as I didn't drive the Ex much over the holidays.
It's the Methow Valley. The outdoor water has been drained for months. We did leave the sinks dripping though. Only freezing problem we've ever had here was the hot water, ironically, because it's an old mobile and the tank is on the outer wall with no insulation. We insulated it, worked great ever since.
Wow, that's cold even over there right? I've been there when it was single digits. That was nuts. I could walk outside and it felt almost warm for the first 30 seconds. Then the cold slams your body.
We were at 23 degrees this morning. I should have driven my truck after washing it yesterday. The doors were frozen shut and the e-brake froze to the caliper. Had to throttle up the engine to break it free. Felt like all four tires were glued to the driveway.
Definitely colder than normal. Coldest temp I saw on Facebook this morning was -14, most around -5 to -7. Probably a lot of broken irrigation lines this spring. We've got about a foot of snow pack but still.
After 28 hours of flying, the wife and I arrived in Buenos Aires yesterday to spend the afternoon sleeping, and yes just sleep. Woke up to 82 F/28 C, I was sweating walking to dinner.
Woke up at 7:00 AM, ate and spent the morning dealing with Agentine Immigration for a residency visa as I'll be working here for 12 to 18 months. Yeah big problems, milder weather, no income taxes for the next year, 60+ hours a week at $52.00 an hour.

If my body were in better shape I would love to do some out of the US work.
The one place I don't want to go is the Middle East. I just would not fit in.
Beards make me itch and I would not last a week not shaving. Plus the ladies
are all covered up. What to do.
^^^ I need to do this. I was lunging up and down on the back of my rig last night trying to get the rear window to open on the Ex lol. Damn thing was froze shut real good.
