'05 Expy, weird issue with outside temp display
I finally got to swap out the factory head unit with an aftermarket audio system. Went for an Android head unit, which is pretty great in its own, apart from not having a proper sub output with crossover, but rather just outputs a standard audio signal making it sound weird. Will fix that though.
But to the weirder issue I'm having....
After all was said and done, all was installed and working, the EATC (automatic climate control) is displaying the wrong temperature for outside temp. Everything else seems fine. When outside is about 26-27'C the EATC displays 10'C. I checked with the scan tool, and it confirms that the module sees 10'C from the sensor, pin 18 on the smaller connector. I tried unplugging the sensor under the hood, and the EATC correctly sets a DTC for open circuit to the sensor, so it is seeing it connected. I took all out to check the pins and the connector, as well as wiring and all looks to be OK. I tried to find details on the sensor, but the shop manual doesn't say much about it so even if I ohm it I have no idea if the value I'm seeing is correct or not. The manual just explains how to replace it, not to troubleshoot it.
Has anyone experienced this? It could of course be the sensor which suddenly decided to stop working, so I'm keeping that possibility open.
Does anyone know what the resistance range is on these sensors? The sensor was used from '03 to '14, so if anyone has some spare time and a multimeter, it would be awesome to know how much it measures at whatever the temp is at that place.

Located on passenger side, upper corner in front of the radiator and condenser, easy to access, just pop the top plastic cover off and it's right there.

Hopefully it'll stay that way...
