Bob, hope you feel better!

Quck question.

the instructions say to cut the tongue of the laminate on the beginning wall. Do I need to cut the tongue on the long and the short side for the beginning piece?

I did the the vapor barrier and the padding all down in the basement today! So it's a start.

No worries Sparky. I stopped after the first row. After thinking about it overnight. I think it would look better if I did cut the fist piece. It'll also allow me to have the last piece span more than the length of the door jamb, so I can but against the wall on both sides, for a more even and less moving floor.

I have also decided that becoming a flooring installer as a profession I would never consider taking up.

lol.. remember to stagger the sections as you go row to row... novices like to try and line up all the seems only to cause issues later...

Started feeling better late yesterday, so I canceled tomorrow (Friday's) doctor appointment. Back to chugging stuff today. Thinking cancelling that appointment may not have been the best thing to do. Almost 2 full weeks now, I've had enough of this mess.

It wasn't until last night on the way home at 9pm the wife informed me she still needed to get 2 more people things. Walmart at 9 on December 23 I can only assume would be topped by Today, the 24th.

We went last night to Mike's farm with family, and friends who are like family. We ate dinner and then did the Christmas lights show hay ride. It was definitely a good evening spent with Family.

Hope everyone has a great and Safe Christmas eve, Christmas day and New years.

I understand, since I didn't leave the house again yesterday, I have to get out today.
