Sorry for the triple repost but I was hoping someone might know the answer to this.

After the rad install my AC compressor is making a humming noise whenever it clicks on. It is coming from the passenger side in front of the glove box. When they install the radiator do they have to do anything with the AC condenser or the freon levels used in the AC?

Thank you.

I think it might depend on the tech. I think the book says to pump down the a/c and remove the condenser but many experienced techs would just skip that and work around all the coolers up front.

I hope you don't have an issue but if there is something wrong maybe see if you can get to another dealer? Seems to me there isn't any love lost with your regular dealer?

That is seems like what the issue would be! If he pumped down the AC at all and didn't fill it back up correctly the compressor would make some noise. Thank you for that information. I prefer to stick with this dealer and make the rectify this noise. I refuse to pay another dealer to fix the mistake of a dealer I have already paid.

Had a 2012 radiator replaced at 40k. Now just today at 77k found my 2015 is dripping. Luckily I have the 125k esp. Just last week I had to replace the radiator on my chevy express 3500 too, it's a 2005 with 70k on it. Plastic/aluminum radiators are good for manufacturers, bad for consumers.
