Just found the leak that was draining my engine coolant, the radiator has a leak that steadily drips when engine is running. has anyone any information on how to fix this without having to take it to the dealer and paying 1500 bucks to get a new one. what about radiator stop leak. any ideas. ford dealer said that the radiator was not covered. im not happy because i only have 81000 miles on my truck and baby the mess out of it. there is no reason for this to be leaking. if i change the radiator myself how hard is it to do, keep in mind that we know next to nothing about diesel engines. got to go and find a repair manual now.
well just dealer just informed me that it is not my thermostat and that i would have to replace the radiator at my cost. i wonder if they even bothered to really look at it or try to find the cause of it. think ill just trade it in, if im having problem now, what will come up in the near future. truck has been barely used. i am not happy

There in lies the problem. Truck is barely used, not good, a sitting truck is worse than one that is driven long and hard. My folks put about 3000 miles a year and constantly had problems with their cars. The dealer is the most expensive place to have your work done, you can save as much as half shopping around...
