so I think I have lost another radiator........ small wet spot on driver side bottom of rad.
I am now searching which rad to buy.......
truck is an 08 f350 with 140k
is there a step by step written anywhere on this as it is so frequent? I searched but came up empty. thanks.
understood- I am leaning towards this very strongly-
I am now thinking about what else to replace while I am in there....
I have updated the hoses and thermostats once already.........
Check your body mount bushings up front, lots of talk that the radiator goes because the front body mounts deteriorate and the extra flex causes the radiator to leak.
Plenty of videos on swapping out the radiator. Mishimoto has an install video for their radiator but guys seldom remove quite so much as shown in their video. I'd like an all aluminum but can't afford the $1k price tag when others sell for quite a bit less.
BTW ... its a good time to change your belts if you haven't done so already
Not trying to hijack this post but I was wondering if anyone has tried removing the bottom radiator mounts and trying to do some kind of mount on the core support? It seems the flex can cause them to leak. Since they rest on the frame rails and is mounted to the core support at the top, wouldn't that cause it to twist? Just wanted to throw that out there. I may try it on mine and see what happens. I've gone through one so far.
