Yes, there was a 2G. And it did have plugs and an external fan where the 1G had studs for ring-tongue connectors and an external fan. The 3G has an internal fan.
The 2G didn't last long as the connectors tended to come loose and the resulting resistance burned many vehicles to a crisp.
That does look nice.
When I saw the picture of the spray equipment I was wondering if that was what was used? I am surprised how well it came out using it.
Guess it all has to do with the person behind the gun and how it gets used.

sorry, it takes a little longer to answer, I was a few days in berlin.
@ gary: maybe YOU can buy the parts for ME and send it over the ocean.
there was a good reason to go to berlin:
a guy buy a new nice chromed chinese junk bumper and sell his old dirty original bumper for 50€, + I get a nice set original rear mirrors for free.
I think we both are happy, my old one is badly deformed.
dare not to drill any holes in it to replace the black plastic things.
oh, following the link and see, you are in devcon3.
I wish you the best for the meet. so much work to stem.
all I can do from here is to press my thumbs for you (and all the others) who's helping.
hopfully the weather's right and the right number of participants showing up (not to less but also not toooo much).
what can I say...we were out...again, this time five days in Paris, sorry.
great to see, the GTG plant is growing.
I can not answer on my own thread in your forum (I'm badly hitting by computer dyslexia...,a-new-word-I-hear-in france).
and yes, I need the moldings. I'll send you a PN for details.
Hardy - As you saw my PM box is pretty much full. I replied via PM with my email address as I don't do much on FTE anymore. But I have found a NOS piece and have the used one.
