Hardy, you are doing an amazing job with your truck!

She will be better than new when you get her back on the road.

got the steering back together...hopefully dont need the hole lane anymore

buy the WRONG distibutor

I figured out that there are two differed types of it. an old and a new one. better ask before pay...
getting friday the right one for the 385 series block.

so I have a question, I painted the air cleaner and wanna add the correct decal on it. I only find pictures till 1978 of it. is that the right decal or do they change it?

My '87 460 didn't have any aircleaner badge but when I upgraded i added a 4V 460 police interceptor decal from the 1970's.

I like it.

arrghh! OK,
1. the distributor I orderd was the wrong one.
2. the fuel reg is also wrong, without the bypass.
3. the carb plate is for any motor, but not for a FORD 460, I have.

now I got the correct distibutor and fuel reg.
made a plate to block the EGR holes in the carb spacer.

has made a "custom" bracket for the steering pump, cos. I pull out the AC.
the compressor is junk, maybe I fix it later.

finaly get the gate back in bed.

I has to prep the doors, then is paint time

so long, hardy

Was the carb spacer the correct number?
The illustration clearly shows the 'ear' needed to cover the EGR port.
Judging from the conversation Gary posted it should be made just for your purpose.

If i gave bad information I am sincerely apologetic.

meanwhile it's summer- the truck is still in the shop...I'm too.
thanks work I'm not as far as I think/say/wish.
the passenger door takes me hours...I'm NOT a good/fast sheet maniac.

but sometime I take any hurdle.
nice n' shiny new hinges

I pre-mount the fenders for fitment
radiator support in place to start the wiring game.

...and I see the next trouble coming by,

the swaybar nearly touching the frontaxle

I think the frontsprings are a little tired...we have to talk about ridehight...later.

stay tuned, hardy

Cool find! As you know, that's a Victorinox, not a Wengen. I prefer the latter due to that spring on the scissors, but carry a Victorinox nonetheless.

As for keeping you upright, many of us are struggling with our projects, and it behooves all of us to support each other.

Good find of goodies and the catch of the fire starter.
I did not find anything worth much when I pulled the dash and heater box out of 2 trucks so far.

I need to paint the inside of my truck, the inside of the fenders & hood before I can install them then get to paint the outside.
Weather & time, more the weather, have stopped me as it has been way to hot and it is only spring time

BAD BRAIN 1

did I have pull a plug?

was there a rubber plug or somethinglikethat I forget.
wondering that there is a oval hole in the lower kickpanel. looking all my parts but there's noting what fits in it. can't remember if I pulled something or not(remember I'm 50+ now).

BAD BRAIN 2

was there a plug/wire on the top two pins of the blower resistance?
on the wiring drawing are only 3 connetions...help.

I has to extend the wires to the sparkbox. now I can hide the wires a little...

got my gas factory together and routed the dist.wires along the steering bracket.

by the way...now I have a POLICE TRUCK!

struggeling with the color of the aircleaner, my choice is BLUE, nowing that's not correct but more oldshool.

waiting the vacation of the painter ended soon...than it's spraytime...hopefully

Look on Gary's Garagemahal for the 1986 EVTM, there are supposed to be another pair of wires on the blower resistor. On the body areas, mine has the same holes, the inside of the floor has covers over the body bolt locations that are held down with screws.

This is the firewall of the 1990 parts truck, same hole.
