Have you already used the yellow, triangular tap that's behind the instrument cluster?

There should be 2? One behind and a little left of the glove box liner, the cig lighter and glove box light get constant 12V power there and the one more behind the cluster in the headlight switch area.

Red square is it, red circle is e brake release handle for locating purposes.

A continuous duty solenoid supplying power to an auxiliary fuse block.

I added a painless aux fuse boss to my truck and Bronco. Gives you four constant power and three or four switched.

I've used 2 so far. Saving the 3rd on the one by the gauge cluster for my fan switch relay because I live in Arizona and my fans keep running and drain my batter all the time.

I bought a couple of Bosch 30 amp relays and switch them off keyed source of power... main power for them comes off an 8 gauge wire with a 30 amp breaker from the battery. Also have a power distribution block under the dash switched with a 30 amp relay.

Hang on a sec, let me go take one for you.

Ok done...3rd pic is yellow one behind the headlight switch area and has one power wire. But the glove box one is BLACK and connected via 2 wires coming off a main bundle.

I took these pics of it in my 79 F250 and my 79 Bronco parts rig. Both have it behind the glove area, both are black and 2 wire connected to the main bundle.

On my truck it also is the glove box light power source. You can see in the pic I have it disconnected due to me having the glove box and door removed.

This is what I did for my truck, except the fuse block was an 11 circuit unit for my new harness. The continuous duty solenoid I used was rated at 80 amps. I also recommend this because you know that the line you installed will be protected at a known fuse.
