The cigar lighter socket in my truck doesn't appear to work (I plugged in the USB charger for my phone and it didn't )
Looking at the wiring diagram, there should be a gray-yellow wire coming out from the lighter that joins up with the glove box switch and lamp. One gray-yellow then goes off to fuse 7 (which is fed from the headlamp switch), and the other appears to go to the RH courtesy lamp switch (RH being passenger door?), and then back through via a black-blue wire to meet up at terminal 53 on the headlamp switch.
My original cigarette lighter was "intermittent", Tightening up the back housing which also establishes ground fixed it. Basically it was not tight enough to get a good ground.
X2 on ck for it being tight, grounded and having 12V.
Yes there is a 1 wire 3 hole yellow plug that is located on the left hand side behind the instrument cluster, w/s wiper switch that is 12V keyed power.
1st 2 pics.
And a 2 wire black 3 hole constant 12V plug behind the glove box area. And yes it powers the lighter and the glove box light.
With the glove box liner out you can get it it easy.
