Well the truck is all buttoned up and running like a beast again!
The 200 AMP alternator never put out below 13.5 volts once the glow plugs shut off. With them on it didn't dip below 13.0 volts. The 2 other alternators would hit 12.0 volts at start up. Cruising down the high way at 65 MPH the volts sat nicely at 14.0 Volts.
The interesting thing I noticed with the laptop hooked up as I drove was that with the stock tune my temperature deltas were only 2 degrees apart. I noticed on the scan gauge that I was a good 5-10 degrees apart. It might be time to get another monitoring device.
Impressed once again on Ed's craftsmanship....this one is prettier then the $225 one I bought 3 years ago.
Time to see if the beast fires up!! If it doesn't my wife will be in jail for killing me! lol
Just came across this thread - so glad you are thrilled with what we were able to deliver for you!
As far as less expensive Leece Neville alternator options, while certainly there are cases where someone is selling genuine product for less money, please just recognize the incredible prevalence of counterfeit (Made, Manufactured, and Assembled in China) Leece Neville product.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
Ed I am glad you also saw that. I was thinking about that one phone call earlier this
year when we were talking about the amount of counterfeits on the market.

yup, counterfeiting is HUGE. If someone DOES find the non-counterfeit product for less anywhere, though, please let us know and we will minimally match, if not beat it! We buy enough pallets of these that there is just no way we're going to be undersold!
Ed. I handed them my phone with your website up showing the Leech Neville 230 AMP. They pulled the exact part number off their self and brought that along with the one I purchased.
So I know that the price they gave me on the Leech Neville was on a Genuine item.
I settled on the cheaper one as stated before due to $.
The place I got it from is a MAJOR SUPPLIER/DISTRIBUTOR in the automotive industry. I never used them before due to the owners arrogance and buttheadness.
Since he is no longer the face and mouth of the business to the majority of the customer base and the fact I was not going to put another box store POS on my truck, I went with their house brand.
The house brand uses quality parts assembled in their facility. Benched tested with a test result documentation provided with the alternator.
Disclaimer:
Before you read the following paragraph understand that I am in no way affiliated with the local to me supplier that I got my alt. from. The owner was a jerk to me 20 years ago when I went to him for pricing on his products to be sold through a company I worked for. When I personally needed electrical work done on a personal vehicle. I never pulled the hey we had a business relationship when I called 8 years after we worked on a professional level.
That being said ......
If there is anymore questions on the supplier and their QUALIFICATIONS or if they are selling imitation products....feel free to contact me either through here of by my cell phone. Those that have brought up the topic have my #.
