i have 2002 F-450 that has 500,000 km (since iam canadian) on it. I pulled over in oregon to sleep shut the truck of and it wouldn't start but it crank over. Got it towed to a dealership they charged the batteries and it started. they were unable to find fault but it had low icp during crank and codes p0360 and p1211 showed up . Anyways i got the truck back home plug it in and left it for a few days. Then when i went to start it up and it chug a little like its was running out of fuel and wouldn't start after it stalled. pulled the codes wiht my super chips tuner p0603 showed up i cleared the codes and still nothin then i took the battery cables off ,clean them and charged the batteries still nothin. OH i forgot to mention the dealer put in a new kam positon sensor i guess it was a recall, before i parked it. As far as i could tell( if i did the right sensor, the one right behind the alternator) i unplugged the icp and the truck still doesn't start. then i checked the hpop hole on the top and there doesn't seem to be any oil in it. would there be if the truck sat a couple of days? anybody got any ideas before i get it towed again to the ford dealership?
When you added oil to the HPOP, where you able to fill it to within 3/4" of the top, and did it stay filled? Did you check the oil level again after you cranked it.
How much oil did you have to add? If it was more than a couple qts, it will take a good bit of cranking before you get it started. You will have to have very good batteries or your wasting your time.
