Hey everyone I have a 2002 F350 7.3 l diesel. I made the mistake of installing a cheap chip in the back of my pcm. Now i believe the pcm is fried. I will be doing circuit tests later today but i can not communicate with the pcm on the scan tool and it failed a network test. Does anyone know of a place that sells them. My dealer says no one in the country has one.

 

Did you check to see if the PCM was receiving operating power?

 

I am about to go check to make sure its getting power and ground and also make sure the circuit to and from yhe dlc is not open.

 

Does the check engine light come on when the ignition switch is turned from OFF to RUN? If so, it's getting power.

 

Yes the cel comes on, the wait to start light comes on and does not go off like it should.
