E3TZ-18476-E Does It Fit?

I need a heater core for our '70 highboy. The part number is something like C7TZ 18476 A but subs to E3TZ 18476 E according to a few threads I ran across. I googled the part number and Dennis Carpenter came up - but they list it as an '80 - '86

Heater Core With Std Heater | Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts

Does the picture look to be the right one?

What gives here? I would like to order a NOS copper heater core instead of new cheapo aluminum Chinese knockoff but will it fit?

C7TZ18476A was the correct number for a heater core for 67/72 F100/750 "without" factory A/C. Then C7TZ18476A was replaced by E3TZ18476B. This was replaced by E3TZ18476E.
Looking at the 1983 model year Bullnose to get an example, E3TZ18476E is not listed for Bullnoses.
1983(Bullnoses)
E3TZ18476F........with hi output heater.
E3TZ18476G........with Factory A/C or hi/low vent system.
E3TZ18476H........with standard heater.

So yes, the E3TZ18476E should fit a Bumpside without factory A/C.

I know some people like running Ford parts, but I've been running Napa and Oreillys heater cores for years. My truck got a nice new Oreillys core when the diesel went in, and it was still holding strong four years and 40k+ later when I tore it back down.

I'm not too opposed to an aluminum one but if the one from DC fits, it's about the same price and should last another 35 years.

Uh huh...I hate to be the bearer of bad news.
You know of course that the E3TZ-E heater core was not used in any 1980 and later trucks, but are you aware that it's smaller than the original?

E3TZ-18476-E is also listed for 1973/79 F100/350 with the economy heater, but...

Take a look see in the 10/88 microfiche final edition of the 1973/79 truck catalog under 18476 for the 18658 seal you had to get along with this heater core...so it would fit correctly.

I remember this jazz from years ago, and so...when members ask for a heater core for these trucks, I do not mention the E3TZ-E core because no one has EODZ-18658-A

Maybe, maybe not. It is true that listed for 73/77 F500 it shows C7TZ18476A replaced by one each E3TZ18476B "and" E3TZ18658A. But does not state the difference or the reason why. If you notice the listings above this for F and E series trucks it also mentions which part number 18658 seal applies. As a matter of fact, this is the only place that which 18658 seal applies to a truck is listed. If you go to section 180,page 17 you will see Ford skipped right over listing any 18658's. When I went to my OSI micro-fische slide yesterday it mentioned the E3TZ-B and then E3TZ-E part number replacements but no other part numbers needed.
Lastly, I know this is not Ford, but the aftermarket world lists both a 1972 Bump and 1974 Dent heater core this way:

Text, Section 180, page 9 of the 10/88 microfiche final edition of the 1973/79 100/500 truck catalog sez:

E3TZ-18476-E .. Heater Core - Use with EODZ-18658-A (seal)

This seal was required (use with) for the E3TZ-E heater core because it was a different shape than the C5TZ-18476-B - C7TZ-18476-A - D3TZ-18476-C originals.

Speaking from experience, since I recall what occurred at the back parts counter, if people buy this E3TZ-E heater core, they're gonna be p!ssed when it does not fit correctly!

E3TZ-18476-E (replaced C5TZ-18476-B - C7TZ-18476-A - D3TZ-18476-C - E3TZ-18476-B) .. Heater Core:

C5TZ-18476-B = 1965/66 F100/250 // C7TZ-18476-A = 1967/72 F100/750 & 1973/79 F500/880 // D3TZ-18476-C = 1973/79 F100/350 with economy heater.
