Thumbs up Big thanks to RiffRaff and OUO!

Some of you may remember the modification fest I had last winter during Christmas break. If not, you can see the thread by clicking here.

Anyway, I was just about to blast off another Buckzooka round for parts and modifications for this winter after camping season is over and nearly made a $1200 mistake.

I built and purchased my parts list which is below...

Tekonsha P3 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Tekonsha Wiring Harness - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fuel Bowl Heater Element - Fuel Bowl Heater Element - Riffraff Diesel Performance
DeeZee Tailgate Assist - Dee Zee Tailgate EZ Down
OUO Traction Bars - OUO Bolt-On Traction Bars w/U-Bolt Flip - Riffraff Diesel Performance

The last item on the list is costing a pretty penny, but I think will save me money in the long run when towing heavy due to wear and tear on the drive line. My truck has axle wrap only sometimes when unloaded, but all the time when I have our travel trailer connected. Anyway, I was just about to purchase the "bolt on kit" by OUO from RiffRaff when I thought maybe I should check to make sure that kit is compatible with the AirLift system because they will be in the same area. Turns out Jared from OUO told me it was not compatible and that I would need the "U-bolt flip kit". After several emails with Clay and Jared trying to figure out exactly what I needed because there appeared to be additional parts required, Clay called me up to answer the questions I had over the phone eliminating any confusion.

We spoke briefly about what I wanted and he assured me that the parts I would need for a clean install would be included in the U-bolt flip kit and it would work with my AirLift system.

This is top notch customer service from both companies that is hard to find nowadays. I have had great experiences with RiffRaff in the past, and will continue to be a customer of his for as long as I own a PowerStorke.

That's the same traction bar I have in my wish list to accommodate air bags when it's time. I use the holy hell out of my DeeZee tailgate assist... now I just need an easy lift. Clay's the man.

I was on the fence about the PMF vs. OUO bars for several months now and only came to a decision recently. A definite factor was the coorespondence I had with OUO/RiffRaff during this period. I had several questions for PMF that I just could not get answered.

Real world experiences with the PMF bars were sent to me by FTE brothers and I valued that advice/information very much. In the end, the mounting application of the OUO over the PMF bars was one of my major concerns. Also the price between the two bars was very similar after shipping and selecting certain parts.

I am 100% confident I will be happy with the OUO bars and AirLift 5000 systems working in tandem. I plan to take a lot of pictures and post my thoughts on the install process and end result.

You're going to love having traction bars when towing. I just finished towing for a 3,000 mile trip (Yellowstone & Glacier) and the PMF weld on traction bars performed flawlessly. I never know they are there and can apply all the throttle I need to get going from a standstill with no wrap up and vibration. I also run the airlift bags and those are fabulous too which I run at 80psi. FWIW, the Rancho 9000's work good with them. I crank up the valving to max when towing and to min when empty and this seems to work very well with the bags.

UPS dropped off some goodies today! Now the wait begins to install them.

I opened each box and the OUO parts look very good and way over built. They are packed so well you would have though there was something alive and very fagile in the boxes.
