Nice, another FTE family save and generosity, gotta love this place.
People helping people. Doing what we like to do best. Nothing wrong with that. Gaining more knowledge daily and passing it around. I was taught it was nice to share. Make someone smile, it's contagious.
That is what I use. I was surprised at how lightly snug the fittings were in my DIY bleed off setup. Never leaked. On my RR the front passenger port moves easy with a wrench but not with fingers. I wasn't about to remove the A/C mount to get to that fitting. I think as long as you wrap the threads tight once around and stay back a thread or two from the tip you won't ever have to worry about "little pieces" traveling the system. I don't know that it would happen anyway but some seem to express that concern with the tape.
i did use the thread gunk that came with the kit..it was the only fitting leaking at the time..i didnt tighten them down that much and thought sure as he11 they where all going to leak..thought maybe one more turn on that one..but it bit me....i did pick up a T today and did a bowl delete and have not one leak..how ever i cant get a filter head till tuesday...not sure what i want to do..take my chances and run it?? im putting in new injectors next week any way's...what else could happen besides a pluged injector?? i also dont know if my truck will start this winter with out a fuel heater..
