My friend has a Pace Edwards remote bed cover. I am going to get the same. Can't wait to back up to the fiver and drop the auto tailgate and then open the bed cover via remote. Should be slick.
That's what I will get. They said they were few weeks out in releasing for the 2017
I spoke with Retrax and this is their email reply"
Yes we are currently taking orders for the 2017 Super Duty covers and will ship in the next 2 weeks. You can order the covers form our dealer network either local or online.
I have a Retrax Pro MX on my current truck, and will be moving to an American Work Cover Jr from Truck Covers USA on my '17. It's not motorized, but the the can is significantly smaller, offers a nifty toolbox on top, still overbuilt aluminum, drains in the front and rear, has a slightly glossy powder coat finish (issues with ice, and frozen snow where I roam), and still has a 500# distributed load capacity...also, retracts sort of automatically due to a spring loaded can. Not cheap, $2400, but it should last as long as the truck based on what I am reading and seeing. The Retrax has been a great cover, and I've appreciated the lock it anywhere functionality, especially when hooked up to a gooseneck horse trailer...but the AWC Jr is winning based on the increased storage in the toolbox. Also, based on the measurements provided by Force (thanks man!) the CHMSL camera will still view the ball in the bed (hallelujah) over the new lid. I'd encourage anyone looking at a Retrax to check these guys out.
Thinking I'm going to go this direction. Looks over built, and the small toolbox is a very nice touch...small can too. Really like my current Retrax, but this looks like a really well done unit.
I haven't had a bed cover before so this will be a first for me. I tell you, I am torn between the designs.
If my assumptions or notions are not correct, I welcome comments from those who actually use these. Right now, I lean towards a manual retractable that can be easily removed. Something like the Pace-Edwards Switchblade or even a Jack Rabbit. I just hate the thought of having to uninstall and reinstall every time I take the dirt bikes to the track.

I have had a Truxport soft roll up for 5 Years now and it still does very well. Holds up to snow - broom it off when you do the cab.
Rolls up tight against the cab so no space taken from the box
On top of the rail model so the rails don' take up side space
Velcro sides always work
Rear latches have to be undone with tailgate open
Rear latch "cams down" to tighten the top when latching Works all winter
Supports roll up with the cover and go out of the way
Formerly OEM Ford supplied
Commercial grade vinyl protectant keeps them looking good
For the price they are worth a try. TruXport ? Economical, Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover

Is anybody else looking for a tonneau cover to go behind a toolbox in an 8' bed. I know which one I'd like but they don't yet have a figment. Anyone know of any available yet? Doubtful I know.
I have a friend that has a Pace Edwards automatic and as dirt builds up in the canister it gets slower and slower. Its so slow now that its almost useless unless you leave it closed. I have a retrax pro thats manual and I love it, so easy to open and close. The only issue is it will not stay put if locked down anywhere besides fully closed. I really like the idea of not having a rope to hold onto to pull closed.
