Check your fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. Make sure the rubber cap that fits in the lid is in the lid and not stuck on top of the master reservoir. It has fooled me several times and I think I have plenty of fluid when I do not.
Also check the firewall where the clutch master cylinder fits, it may be ripped. That is a common issue now in these older trucks. Firewall flexes then tears.
Thanks Guys !
Will ding into this AFTER repairing the primary driver, 2007 F-150... Can Women hear sometimes?
The wife spent a week in VT on a vacation with the kids, (about 300 miles one way) I did a trip check before the trip, and all was well, mid week the rear brakes were making "noise" according to the kids, Well she was rivet-to-rotor for traveling the 2-largest mountains and the trip home...... No truck fire cause it rained for the trip home, kept things "cool"
Well I got some measurements today, Pushing the clutch to the floor makes the slave cylinder move 1/2' (not the 5/8" I was hoping for) The fluid is within 1/4" of the top, and there does not seem to be any slop in the linkage under the dash.
Also the wall around the master does not seem to move, but the master it self "wiggles" a little upon pressing the pedal.
I believe the wall is OK, because it spent all it's life as an Auto, only this year it is a Standard...

Did you find the rubber part of the cap? Is it in the cap?
