I was driving down the road about 6 AM yesterday morning headed out to do some deer hunting. Everything was going fine, no problems with anything. I took off from a red light and was shifting through the gears and when I pushed the clutch to go from 3rd to 4th, the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed! I got it in neutral and stopped in the middle of the road. Upon a little investigation, I discovered that the hard line that runs from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder had come lose from the slave allowing all the fluid to run out. There is a little roll pin that looks like it keeps that line in the slave that had worked itself almost all the way out. I pushed the line back in the slave and then pushed the pin back in. I took the little rubber cup out of the master cylinder resivour and poured some brake fluid in. I tried pumping the clutch pedal but the fluid didn't go down and the clutch pedal still goes to the floor and stays without engaging the clutch. Is there a way to get this master/slave refilled and bled or is it shot? I bought the master/slave pre filled and bled from Ford about 2 years ago.
I'm having issues with mine too. I bought a pre bled system from oreilly's, $145 compared to $450 from Ford. The counter guy told me I should still bleed it and so did the instructions that came in the box. I did get air out of it before I put it in, I still have no clutch. Going to try another one on my next days off. I've read on here of some guys having luck with Fords instructions on bleeding the system but not me. The palm of my hand is bruised and my legs are cramped from pumping the clutch lol. Good luck, I hope it goes smoother for you

I'm not sure why they told you the pre bled master/slave combo from Ford cost $450. When I bought mine right around 2 years ago it was right around 100 bucks.

I got the prices myself by phoning around. I live in Canada and that's what my local Ford dealer quoted me. I drove into Washington witch is an hour away and bought the one from oreilly's it was them that told me to bleed the new one
I stand corrected. I went to my local ford dealership and purchased a new unit. It was 206 bucks. Guess they went up a hundred bucks in the last couple of years.
