Yep that's mi gurl, 2 first place heat winners and one second place , scored very good over all for the team, ohhh don't worried about me felt like I walked to New York and back my feet R KILLIN MEEEE , I think I'll dip em in the lake tomorrow
Got the light switches moved. Guys showed up Sunday night and we spent Monday getting things ready. Ripped out the stove, and sink. Decided to add another row of recessed lights, which meant modifying the way the old ones were framed. Finished most of that up yesterday.
Today, we moved an outlet for the new range hood, and closed in all the recessed lights. Using hot mud to do the first coat on all the walls now. Should be ready for the finish coat this afternoon. Then we texture, paint, and stick in those new cabinets.
Don't forget to primer the new texture before the color goes on, the paint with primer is useless in my opinion , I use bins123 or kilzs other wise the texture will yellow and it sucks up the paint almost to where you have to get 2 or 3 extra coats . Cows are ready if Ya'll know of anybody who wants beef in the freezer for the winter. P.M me if interested.
Didn't make the finish coat of mud. Got the hot mud on, and the rough coat though. Left a fan running to help it along. Last coat should go on tomorrow, and if enough time is available, we will do the texture. It may be tight schedule-wise. Ceiling looks good with one "sort-of" finish on the whole thing.
Drywall all looks good this morning. They're starting out with the final coat of mud after a bit of smoothing and sanding. Hopefully we will get started soon after with the texture.
We still have 5 gallons of primer left over from the last little bit of work we did.
Ya. We got the smooth coat of drywall up, and also the texture. This was by 6 PM, so we fired up the BBQ and burned a couple of rib-eyes. Then the guys got a burr under their butts, and they stripped the popcorn in half of the living room. That went faster than expected, and we had pulled down the plastic and cleaned up by 8:30.
Tomorrow a little cleanup on that half of the living room, strip the popcorn on the other side, and prime & paint the kitchen (texture should be dry by morning).
