Since they moved the fireworks closer to downtown they are only a couple blocks away giving us a great spot although our pooches dont like them.
Back to work I go,,
So, did everyone survive the 4th of July weekend? I did, grand kids had a blast. First time with sparklers for them. However, there was one downside as the youngest grand daughter burned her finger, and part of her hand. Wasn't serious enough to take her to the hospital, but based on her crying, it sure hurt. After a few minutes of ice application, she felt much better.
Steak and bacon wrapped roast corn. Going to the third night of fireworks tonight. The local communities stagger them out.
We had steak with roasted corn, but we didn't think to wrap it in bacon. That would have been awesome. We did roast some portabello mushrooms and fingerling potatoes though. It was really good, but now I'm just thinking of bacon...
Hey guys , my hearing is back , sounded like war zone all over town , especially my house , Hank that HVAC disease made it over the hill , effected the condenser unit , got the guys tearing stuff out as we speak looks like coils are going too , well it's only ( Benjamin's ) so much for my new Jet ski Joe until I build the stack back up. Any thoughts on the Lake GTG
Yeah Scott after my new fan motor it ran fine for a day but then on the 4th ( I close my house up for dogs, who hate fireworks) a/c never seemed to blow cold. Gotta check condenser today when I get home. Probaly have another week in Sunol then I think I`m heading up north for a couple weeks so have to make sure its all good before I leave.
Condenser had five non repairable leaks, so the old system R-22 and coils went to recycle , installed a Ream unit , hope with no glitches like there Water heaters, but for now we are like hanging beef in this house lol
Fog city this morning! Not like the summers of yesteryear. Our cabinets came in today, and I spent a couple hours unloading and inventorying. One piece of corner molding was missing (or not labeled on one of the 25 boxes).

Smokie is liking the fog in the morning. The view from his dog bed has improved dramatically. He used to have a choice between a textured wall and a box spring.
Had my first real "crisis" today. A chicken escaped the compound. I fought the urge to dial 911, until I saw the unwavering calm coming from my Cattle Dog Smokie. With his courage and determination to keep a safe distance, we stood frozen with bated breath as the chicken simply went around the pen and right back in the door.

Don't ask Foghorn Leghorn about that. Now he's got opinions.
Fog did not come up as far last night. A friend came up and retrieved all of our old cabinets except the one holding the sink. Cooking and kitchen things in general are ... um interesting now. I've got a day and a half to finish up moving a couple of light switches so we can close up the wall. Hopefully we will be ready to put in new cabinets on Monday.
