The film over my digital odometer on my 95 f250 was crumpled and ripped, thus making it extremely difficult to read the mileage. I removed it last night. Does anybody know where I can a replacement of this? Without it, my odometer is completely blank. I'd really like to know the mileage of my truck.
It's a polarizing film. You can find it on e-bay, just find some that has an adhesive backing. You'll want to make sure you get the orientation correct before you put it on though, so you'll want to power the dash up and turn the film until you can see the display, then mark the orientation.
To verify you haven't permanently damaged your display in the mean time, if you have a pair of polarizing sunglasses (they have to be polarizing) you should be able to see the image if you turn the glasses in a particular orientation.

Perfect. Thank you! I'll take a look tonight with my Costas
Well in that case, you may have damaged the screen when removing the film, if it's not the polarizing filter you removed. Only way to find out is to try the sunglasses.
Here's a video showing what happens when you remove the polarizing filter:
Update: I can see the mileage clear as day with polarized sun glasses. So no damage done to the odometer. I just need to get some adhesive polarized film and I will be good to go.
