code reader plug in
I recently got a 96 f-250 4x4. It had a check engine light on when I picked it up, now it's off.
Where do I plug in the code reader? Both my other 96 150's had the plug in under the dash, this one doesn't

Count the flashes. Best bet is a code reader to prevent miscounting the codes then misinterpreting the codes.

The reader above says it's for up to 1995. Will it work on my 96. It has the connector under the hood.

Yes it will work. The F-250, 350 and F-SuperDuty continued to use the same computer system as the '95 and earlier F-150s until '97.
The exception being the California emissions truck, but since your truck has the connector under hood, it's not one of those.
