I just heard from a guy tonight who tells me a buddy with a new ram got a $5800 fine in oil patch for being deleted. Didn't say what he was doing to get stopped but either way it kinda makes me take a second look. I didn't think anyone would bother up here

Haven't heard of any issue with deletes, but if he didn't have the mandatory intake shut down mod done, that would be big penalties.
SCT tuner arrived, installed, what a tedious pile of crap that is, wow. Guages are meh, no adjustability on defueling parameters, if it works, I guess good enough. Well, it didn't, still lags awful on bottom end. I suspected too much design change with intake plumbing, if we don't have success with custom tune tonight, shop will put stock intake back on.
Yep it sucks, we will see what the custom tune will do tonight. If no change, then we change mechanical. I got a feeling ti will run great with stock piping back in place.
Mike, why not Spartan? I would think their custom tunes would be the best game in town since H&S hung it up... Or call Rudy's diesel and get an unlocked H&S. Either way, those two are the most highly acclaimed and zero problem units AFAIK.
I suspect it isn't something I can get around without time on a dyno. This is a big flow change, canned tunes aren't working, so the designer of this intake is remotely updating the tuner with a custom. Hoping that fixes it.
If not, stock intake back in and we see that happens. Never though of Spartan or Rudy, if I can find it this side of the border, much easier to deal with.
Trying different tuner and tweaking custom tunes, not working. Huge lag on the bottom end, then tire's breaking loose. Not what you want for towing. Anyone with '15 and newer deletes, is the engine brake effected? Tried it today, felt nothing.
