Id suspect regulator. It would take a carostophic lpop failure to deliver absolutely zero oil to the filter housing.

Ok so I must not be building pressure enough to open the regulator and let oil flow. Is this correct? If so is the lower gerotor gear the only thing that builds the pressure in the lower?

Just got done tearing the whole top end apart down to the cooler. Only thing I found was a bad screen. Looked like the original screen it was barely there. Just disintegrated. Put everything back together checked for oil into the filter housing....filled half way and stopped. That was it.

We need to stop guessing. We need some good info, plz buy yourself a SGII from autozone. With this tool you cn figure out what is wrong. one of the things it cant read is fuel press.

Please tell me about the cooler bypass and the filter bypass. Where are these located and if they have no pressure could this be an issue? Thanks for the help by the way.

you have LPO pressure. the LPO feeds oil to the HPOP. if the HPOP is not getting oil from the LPO, the engine would not fire up at all. not even for 30 sec.

correct, meaning you are going oil to the hpop. I would look at ficm voltage of ficm relay, or you have a hpop leak
