Off the beaten trail in CO with the occasional free range cattle coming through. Elevation just shy of 10K. Lots of peace an quiet.

Last day of the year and what better way than sitting by the fire watching the sunrise having a cup of coffee.

Happy New Year!

That's it! I'm playing hooky tomorrow and going camping. (I wish )

Nice scenery. It was very hot in the front range today. How were the temps up in the mountains?

It was a little cool in the morning when I woke at 5am 38f but warmed quickly when the sun came up. During the day was perfect 75f.

That open park area camp looks really cool. 38F is good sleepin' weather in my book. The stars must be somethin' at 10k feet on a clear night, it's been a while.

Thanks, moved to another NF. It took a little getting in being 13'4" height and some of those branches can hang but the view is awesome. We've seen black bear, elk, deer, marmot so far.

Nice. What was the temperature there, a lot of the country these past few weeks had been roasting with 90 and 90% humidity. I ****ing hate humidity.

The elevation is 9,500' daytime 75-85f, nighttime 45-50f perfect sleeping weather. We keep contemplating dropping in elevation but who wants to deal with the heat. Over the past month or so camping/ glamping has been at 9,500-10,500' elevation doesn't get to hot at the elevation.
