an old friend of mine is rewiring my entire truck and so far has been doing a amazing job, he asked me to get him pigtail for the neutral safety switch but i honestly have no idea what that is, i looked on lmc but couldnt find it, anyone know where i could find it
super sorry about that, i just got back from work and im completely exhausted, im not 100% sure on the exact transmission details honestly, but its a 1979 F250 with a 400 big block
Okay, the transmission will be a C6. Unfortunately the pigtail that's part of the neutral start switch plugs into the main wiring harness, there isn't a separate pigtail that connects the two.
Standard Motor Products shows a repair pigtail that can be spliced into the main harness to repair that plug (P/N S743) but that's not the right plug, it's only two terminals and the NSS should have four terminals.

So if I buy a new neutral safety switch will it come with the pigtail?

It will come with the pigtail with the male plug. This will plug into the main wiring harness of your truck.
This is the NSS for your truck. Just so you know, it also operates your backup lights.
