Got the truck back from being wired and me and my wife (mostly wife) go the cowl seal installed and we put in the rear window, and had a professional install the windshield, glad I did because it took him a while to get it right and he's been doing these 30 yrs! Best $100. I've spent so far. next I have to figure out a ps pump set up, as I have a volare box, I'm thinking a volare pump will be the most compatible, but I will need to fab up a mounting bracket out of aluminum and get a PS Pump pulley, then a driveshaft, rear shocks & exhaust. Maybe in a month it'll be running and at least moveable. Looks like a real truck with the glass in!
Don
not making much progress so far this week, I'm pinstriping the glove box door, tried a few different designs last night and nothing worked except one, which I finally got at the end of the night, but by then I was a little sloppy, wiped it all off and will try again tonight now that I have a design that works, thats the good thing about one shot striping paint, you don't like it ya wipe it off! If I get something done tonight I'll post a pic, going with a two color design of Red & Black to match the door Logo. I've just started this pinstriping thing, I've tried to do it numerous times over the years and just never had the control or consistent line width, well I've decided I must master this art form, I have been practicing on everything in the garage for the last 3 weeks, and if I'm really careful, and take my time I can do something respectable, but I am very critical of my own stuff , and my wife is even more critical, she has an eagle eye and can spot a flaw in a 30k custom paint job in seconds!!!. If all else fails I will go to the 4 day AirBrush Action Magazine Seminar in October in Vegas to the Pinstripiing Workshop, I ought to be able to learn a lot in 4 days working with the Masters!
