Before (red) and after (grey), turned out pretty good I thought (considering color was a complete accident, bought it for my intercooler pipes and got bored and painted a wheel and liked it), show off those custom wheels 35X12.50X20's are what I have on this truck
They do kind of change color at night, I tried to like the red, but it was just too loud for me, not a red guy more of a grey guy, but you are right I like to see other ppls stuff just to see some of the crazy stuff everybody comes up with. Oh and I used the ceramic engine primer they have at O'Reilly and I used the high heat ceramic engine paint the color is graphite. I was going to paint my intercooler pipes and painted the first wheel black, and then I thought well you can't do that everyone has black so I just started messing around and thought wow I like it, oh and I also used matte clearcoat on them after I painted them
A blue might look better. Not sure what it is but the grey just does not do it.
Try the Plasti-Dip to get a color then use real paint for it after if you want to
play around with the colors. It will have an eggshell finish to it with the Plasti-Dip.
Blue? On a black truck? No thanks man I was 100% happy with this color, and the high heat ceramic engine paint dries and gets hardened so it won't get rock chips and the like, but like I said it's all personal preference, some people like bright, some people like dark I like to see everyone's ideas even if it's not for me doesn't mean it's not cool.
I did plasti-dip on my wheels, running boards, grill and bumpers, oh and all the logos on the truck. Non of it held up and it attracts dust. I peeled it all off and painted it black, then had the gold on the bottom half of the truck painted back too. Looks pretty good to me.

The Plasti-Dip treatment is just a temporary thing. I would use it more for testing
how a color idea looks Vs painting it and finding out you hate something,
I did not have the problem with if coming off. I cleaned the surface well and
it got heat baked and did not want to come off at all.
Another color red might be cool, I didn't want to do the black on black either, I like the graphite for now but actually the dark blood red might be cool too.....good thing is it only costs about $30 to do the whole thing so I can paint it again when I get tired of it, I do have a question about the HID headlights you got, I am going to do that next and was gonna do a little research on the kits, are they difficult to install? And what kinda kit you got are you happy with it? My headlights are too dim and I am getting old and squinty at night
I went with an Ebay kit and the install was not too hard. I made
some changes to the kit. What I did was put a better fuse holder
on and larger gauge wire at the fuse. The one thing to watch for is
get an AC kit not DC. You get longer lamp life with AC or that is
what I find reading. Avoid the really cheap kits also. German ballasts
are way better than any thing from China. PM me and I'll get you the
name of the guy I got mine from. I will have to dig up the info and that
is why the PM sort of a reminder to me to find you the info.
About the only things that you have to pick after AC would be the
color temp, wattage and if you want Bi-Xenon (high/low) or single.
