So little update for today. Went to get oil for an oil change and after staring at a set of pods for 3 days in a row I finally pulled the trigger on these

Which are going to replace these

Also I got my pump in the mail yesterday which is another piece to the e-fuel! GSL392 from highflowfuel.com with the clamps, a dampener sleeve and a set of fittings for it.

The kit should be here by the end of the day tomorrow so I will have everything I need for the e-fuel, just need to wait for a 96 to get to work on it!

Also next weekend I will be picking up a 20k series 5th wheel plate for the truck. Too good of an offer that I couldn't pass up! And after talking with my buddy, when we get his ranger up and going he is going to let me take his HPOP from his 96' to use as my core for a T-500 from riff raff.

So I went over to my buddies house in order to do my oil change/tire rotation (because they frown upon that in the barracks parking lot. Wasn't able to get into his mailbox to get my fuel pump, but I have to go back tomorrow because my e-fuel kit from Strictly diesel!! Excited to get started on that.

Tire rotation, oil change, installed those awesome new pods I got and they are BRIGHT! I love these things already. Great range, super bright, I use them instead of my headlights now, until I get my aftermarket headlights.

Went and picked up a nice 20k series 5th wheel plate today!! $450 which I thought was a nice deal.
Found a 05' SD front axle for rather cheap in SC. Tried looking at a rear axle, and it was 8x the price!!

Considering starting the e-fuel swap tomorrow. Just need a few small parts, but also have to remove the bed so may hold off until next weekend to soak bolts in penetrating fluid.

Also left a message for BTS to see if I could get a quote for a trans because that'll be next on the list. Current trans shifts rather hard and seems to skip 3rd gear.

Found an "off the beaten path" junkyard today with quite a few Ford's on the lot. Of course they were all stripped down, but I was able to find a '95 and snagged the HPOP off if for $100 for my core for a T-500. Only question is though is will it work for my '97. I know they are both 15* HPOPs, but when you look at the Riffraff sheet and they ask you for your turn in.

So if I send in the '95 HPOP for a core, will it still work for my '97 when I get it back? Was going to call Riffraff in the very near future to confirm, but if anyone had any input now it would be greatly appreciated!

Check and see if it has the check valve, if so it won't work with your 97.

Well I checked it this morning and was very disappointed to see that it had a check valve in it. Guess I'll try to sell it now as I clearly have no use for it.

Trying to remove the turbo exhaust flange bolts and after over and hour of struggling I got the two 13mm upper bolts out but don't see any way to get the lower two. Can't get a breaker bar on a wrench or a socket in there at all. Any advice?

I think the lower passenger side you can get a wrench on it. The drivers side I cut a tool up to make it fit. Its been awhile, I have the T4 setup now. I know its a royal PITA, good luck.

Well I took the advice and welded a half inch extension to a stubby 15mm wrench and made short work of the bottom to nuts for the turbo flange. Everything is off for the regulated return. New 38 gallon tank is in. Had to go buy a hand saw to cut the up pipe bolts off, but called it quits for the night.

Will say on the axle swap deal definitely go with a 05 up axle it's worth it in so many ways the ride quality the fact that the brakes are huge not as hard as it seams at all I've had my 05 axles for a little over a year and it was definitely worth it I spent about 1500 to do the swap compared to 1000 or more for a older Dana 60 only that price included rear axle if you have any questions regarding the swap I'd be glad to answer them for you

I will remember that. Found a front axle for around $300 in SC, but haven't found a dually rear in my price. What is with the narrow/wide axle packages? I heard it's like a wide for pickups and narrow for everything else.

When u buy them though ur better to try to buy them fairly complete as ull need brake lines brackets and everything for ur truck and try to get all the bolts as some are ford specific trust me I know I bought my front and rear axle as a set and the guy gave me the whole front half the frame with all brackets and I mean he cut nothing he unbolted everything for 1200 then I had to find wheels obviously found some for 200 then the other few small things I bought brought it to 1500 but I know cab and chassi trucks are different widths and have different spring perch widths
