The mismatch is no biggie. Tons of trucks out there running injectors with mismatched solenoids. When you get rebuilt injectors, the cores come from all over the place. As long as they are the right cc, nozzle size, and matched single shot, or split shot, the color of the solenoid is fine.
Ahhh, so I am assuming they are an aftermarket one piece version, probably made by Dorman and COULD be A potential problem, but if they were THE problem, I don't think it would be temperature dependent.

Please explain, before I put this back together..
Already pulled GP's(driver's side) and replaced with Motorcraft. When I pulled the XXXX they were coated in a very thick black sludge nasty lookin stuff.
Yeah, that's getting down there. Be careful not to over-shim. Once you have the shims installed and before you put everything back together, run a buzz test and make sure you don't have any high to low side short codes.

Can I run a Buzz test or do you have to have special equipment???
You need a scan tool that's capable of it. If you don't have one, start the engine before you put the valve covers on. If an armature plate is over shimmed and contacts the solenoid coil, you should get a MIL and the IDM may shut down a cylinder bank if it detects a high to low side short. Having a scan tool would make it a lot easier to figure out which injector(s) are the problem if that happens, though.
