Take him to see Judge Mullion. Judy's good too but Mullion's hot.
A cylinder contribution test is pretty much worthless with anything other than an original, black cam position sensor installed. Even then, I wouldn't change an injector based solely on that result.

What then?? I'm gonna do the oil change to 4w-40 1st and see how that goes. Really don't want to spend $ for injectors....
Can someone point me in the direction of replacing glow plugs in a 2003 7.3. Seem what I keep finding is for 1997 model...
Thanks

Have you tried the dealer in most cases their more adept to helping you as to where and how to do it, I would ask the guys in the parts department, don't waist your time asking the mechanic. Because more then not he'll just shack his head as to I don't know! And also have you tried U-tub.
No, it will not. There's no need to worry about the oil around the glow plugs. There isn't enough there to cause any problem when it runs into the cylinders. The oil that runs into the cylinders when an injector is removed comes from the high pressure oil rail in the head, so draining the pan has no effect.

Most people, myself included, don't drain the oil rails. It's common to just pull injectors 7 & 8 first and let all the fuel and oil collect in those two cylinders. Then just evacuate it with a tube and syringe or Mityvac.
Try putting in Rotella T6 synthetic 5W-40 or a brand that you like in that weight. If it starts easier it is a good indicator that the tolerances on the poppet valves in your injectors are very close to being too tight.
Did the oil change and replaced 4 pints oil in HPOP.. Started after heating 3 GP's 3 times but no power till warmed up..
OK I pulled the drivers side VC off and found 1 injector had been replaced( had black coil other have gold). Also the harness is straight thru to outside plug-is that good or bad????
Had to quit for now tomorrow will check 2 and 8 injectors see if bad or ??
Any thoughts......
