Tighten everything down, replace harness, check for leaks. That's all that needs to happen

Do the 50 cent mod? Or did I miss it and the new harnesses do not have the same issue?

Since I am thee self-proclaimed grand pooh-bah of all Injector Tightendom - tighter is undoubtedly quieter.

O-rings... great idea, but this might open a can of worms - or not. For me - I have way too much practice under the VCs, so I'd replace the O-rings. For the newb, maybe it's best to save that until symptoms arise. Turning bolts and replacing connectors are one thing, but popping so much as one stick - that's way more involved for the uninitiated.
I couldnt agree more, If a newb just re-torque the 8mm hold down bolts. I go 20 IN lbs higher but each there own I guess on that one. As well like he said if you feel confident with doing seals it is well worth the money and time to do the O ring kit. Just look it up on You tube O ring 7.3 injector and it should pop right up.

I agree! Get a quality torque wrench and leave it in your wife's jewelry box. That way it will be safe and won't get knocked around. Make sure you have proper torque values.

He is asking for help. How does someone get experience if they never attempt anything.

Just a thought! Good luck.....

Better to try and possibly make a mistake, than to make the mistake of not trying.

I have a friend who's paralyzed with fear of failure - so every day he suffers knowing he doesn't know how to do anything. He's miserable.

If you break what's already broken, it's just more to fix. Sure, it'll cost some money, but valuable lessons in life usually aren't free. Ever paid tuition? Did you have a fixed truck when the check cleared?

I have found that I am a more competent mechanic than many career mechanics and that I can buy the specialty tools and fix it twice myself for the cost of having someone who could be less competent than me do the job. Then, if I had to fix it twice to get it right the next time I'm ahead of the game.
